  1. Vision and Values
  2. Our Vision

Our Vision

At CCJ our school vision is ‘learning to live life in all its fullness’ which is based on our school bible verse from John 10:10 of ‘I have come in order that you might have life – life in all its fullness’. This is our driving aim; to ensure that every child in our care has the opportunities to experience learning in all its forms through a rich, vibrant and engaging curriculum and extra-curricular offer. We underpin our vision through the four pillars of value ourselves, engage with others, inspire awe in life and create the future.

The four areas of value ourselves, engage with others, inspire awe in life and create the future link to the four areas of spirituality: self, others, beauty and beyond. This acknowledges the power of learning and the need for children to understand themselves spiritually, so that they can create the future that they want to be part of.

All our curriculum is designed to extend the invite to our children to experience life through our six Christian values of love, humility, generosity, forgiveness, courage and hope. These six values are explored during the six terms in the year as they drive our collective worship and are a golden thread running through our curriculum. During their four years with us, children revisit these values four times enabling them to grow as courageous advocates as they move on to their secondary school and the next chapter of their educational journey.

Our vision also demonstrates the very close links that we have with our partner Infant school and namesake Church, Christ Church. Christ Church Infants’ vision is ‘a caring community, courageously learning, inspired to live life to the full’ and Christ Church’s vision is ‘learning to live the life’. Our close partnership with both the Church and the Infants is vital as we offer the same exemplary nurture, inspiration and high quality teaching as our Infant school and we build on the foundations that they have embedded in children as they move to us for key stage two (Y3-6).

We have revisited our vision several times over the last decade and this was most recently completed during the Autumn of 2023. We have worked with our children, parents, governors and staff to explore what we were proud of in our school’s provision and what our vision wording should be to communicate our high aspirations, enriching learning opportunities and breadth of experiences. We are honoured to serve our community and proud of the strong partnerships we have with our families. Our aspiration is to ensure that we enable every child in our care to be ‘learning to live life in all its fullness’.
